Nature’s Table Cafe
If you take a drive down highway 192 and visit the real Old Town of Kissimmee you may well be there in time for lunch or decide you want a snack after a walk by the lake there. One place to look out for is Nature’s Table Café . On Broadway –the main road through Kissimmee and in the middle of the Historic District it can be missed as the entrance is at an angle to the road so walk slowly other wise you will forgo a real treat. Nature’s Table is a fast and fresh food eatery whose menu ranges from classic sandwiches to gourmet wraps signature salads and rice bowls. They have been steadily growing since 1977 and now are open in several locations around the parks area . The dishes are freshly prepared and offer a great variety of fillings for the sandwiches wraps and panini melts . You can choose the bread to suit your taste and be as decadent as you like with the fillings or stick to the healthier options as there is full nutritional information available if you are watching the fat or calorie intake.
They offer a soup and sandwich meal deals where you get sandwich, soup or salad drink and a cookie, brownie –(my recommendation) or frozen yoghurt which offer very good value at around $7.
If you just want a drink or something a little more but not a meal then try one of their smoothies or fruit juice mixes especially good for the diet conscious as they are either low or fat free but still delicious. If you are in need of an energy boost after seeing the sights of downtown Kissimmee the Nature’s Table has the answer for you too.
They do a range of energy boosting smoothies that will revitalize you for the rest of the day, again good for the health conscious.
If you are in the area of a Natures Table around breakfast time they do a breakfast range that has scrambled eggs, bacon, toast muffins or croissants as well as fruit salad and bagels or a meal deal for under $4. 50.
The surroundings are very well kept up, clean and welcoming and the staff are helpful and will tell you all you want to know about their produce but if it nice and sunny I suggest taking a table outside down the side of the store to enjoy the sunshine as well as the food.
As a bonus for those who maybe don’t manage to get to Old Town Kissimmee there are plans to open a Nature’s Table at the new Posner Park center on highway 27 so it will be within an easy drive of the communities along that road –hopefully not before too long.
