Millers Orlando Ale House (6)
I must admit before the Millers Ale House opened last year near our villa at Lindfields I had never heard of them. When my parents visited there before Christmas they were very impressed by the venue, the service and the value for money of the food.
Millers is situated in the Orange Lake Complex where there is also a Publix. If you are driving from the 27 end of the 192 just after the new 429 Toll Road you turn left at the lights into the Orange Lake Complex. The restaurant has a very large car park and although it was very busy when my parents were there just before Christmas it was always quite easy to park.
The Ale House is large and lively inside and they also have outdoor seating. It has a vibrant atmosphere crowded with TV’s showing continuous sport. Someone told me they have 60 TVs!
The service is very good with two greeters at the door and you are asked which kind of seating you require indoor or outdoor. If you require indoor you have the choice of sitting at the bar ( adults only) a booth or table and whether you like to be near the bar where the majority of the TVs are or in a quieter part away from the bar. The noise level varies as to where you sit and my parents said they went in one evening about half an hour after the Happy Hour had ended and there was a big game on and it was noisy however within about 40 minutes the noise had died down and most people were dining.
Each day they have special offers on drinks and my parents noticed a lot of the parties were having a pitcher of Millers for $6 good value if there are three or four of you. Some of the offers were the same every day plus on each individual day of the week there were also extra offers. Between 5. 00pm and 7. 00pm Monday to Friday they also had a cocktail or a spirit and mixer on sale for a dollar. They boast that they have 75 varieties of beer.
You need to be hungry when you go to Millers as the portions are very large. One couple apparently ordered the Nachos as a starter and had to ask the couple next to them at the bar to help them eat it! There is a great variety of food for all the family chicken steaks and pasta are all on offer.
Every Evening there is a special for that evening only and these are really good value. My Father had a 12oz Prime Rib one day for $10. 95 and Baby Back Ribs another day for $10. 99.
My parents were too full each time for dessert but said those they saw looked delicious. I cannot wait for my next trip to the villa to try Millers for myself.
