Millers Orlando Ale House 192
Another addition to the Rolling Oaks area of restaurants with recent additions such as Longhorn, Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze, Applebees is Millers Orlando Ale house. In essence this is an archetypal Sports Bar with a central bar area surrounded by wooden booth type seats one side and an opensided table and chairs set up the other.
The walls are covered in the obligatory numerous TV screens all tuned to the many and various US sports channels so if you arent a Sports fan. . . . be prepared, The Menu is extensive and includes kids meals many and various steak and chicken options and all at affordable prices.
We went for lunch which is served until 4 oclock and arrived at around 3. 45. I ordered the meat loaf for $4. 99 and got something big enough to chock aircraft wheels. Wether this was because it was near the end of service for lunch i dont know but it was very tasty anyway and went down well with my glass of Sam Adams Autumn lager.
This was our first visit to Millers Orlando Ale House so we gave it another try for Dinner later in our trip. This time i went for the Chicken Fajitas and they came with all the trimmings inc Cream and guacamole and were really delicious and very filling. The only complaint is . . the size of the tortillas which are small side plate size rather than dinner plate size. My better half had a flat iron steak and by all accounts it was excellent.
This place is very busy and there is plenty of parking , we waited roughly 20minutes for our table but after being seated we were done and dusted in 45 minutes. We sat for a while after eating and they dont rush you out the door and if you wish you can always adjourn to the high top bar. Definitely a place i will go to again and hopefully by then the Joes Crab Shack and Texas BBQ being built will be open and ready to try.
