Manny’s Chophouse, Haines City, Florida
We have now been to Manny’s Chophouse 3 times in the last twelve months and have found the food excellent each and every time. Manny’s was recommended to us by local people and it is well known in the area so as a rule there is always a waiting period to be seated. This is no hardship as you can sit or stand near to the centre bar and have a drink while you wait – there are televisions with sport on to watch. The atmosphere is bustling with a vibrant feel to the place.
As the name indicates, steaks are a speciality and they have all sorts of different cuts and sizes to choose from. The first time we went to Manny’s we made the mistake of ordering starters because as a matter of course you are served Manny’s salad bowl to begin with free of charge which I have to say is delicious and quite filling. Unfortunately for us having a starter on top of that and then the main course were just too much. . . . . .
Having learnt from our previous visit we now only order the main course. The steaks are so tender and done to perfection. There is a choice of side dishes to go with your main course and three out of four of us tend to go for the jacket potato which is a nice change from the usual fries. The ribs are also delicious and for a full rack not more than $16. 99 and again this included side orders.
Monday and Tuesdays children under 12 eat free and Wednesday is the buy one get one free fajitas nights. I know they have also a busy take out section and although we have always just arrived and waited for a table you can actually book in advance to avoid the waiting. Sodas such as coke, 7 up etc are refillable and this makes a difference to the price also.
We always enjoy Manny’s and like to take our time over the meal as this is a nice time to relax and talk to the kids about the day’s events – usually what we have done during the day and what we would like to do during the remainder of our holiday. For our family two adults and two teenagers we can have a really enjoyable meal of steaks/ribs with drinks and tip for under $70.
I can recommend Manny’s Chophouse for the value for money and good food it serves, well worth a visit.
