The Magic of Seaworld
See World is another one of the 7 must visit parks in Orlando. Over the years there has been a lot of heavy development in this theme park and they have added many attractions to try and temp the guests away from Disney.
Located just off the Interstate 4 on junction 71, Seaworld is very easy to find from all hotel and villa locations in Kissimmee and International drive. The first thing people notice is a large sign on the Interstate 4 guiding you into the park.
The park itself is as the name suggests, orientated around every thing aquatic. The park itself has been designed around a large lake area, where they have daily shows and activities. The most famous of these is the large killer whale called SHAMU.
The park is very well put together and easy to navigate around. There is plenty to do for the Children and adults in the family with many of the stands orientated around facts and figures about various sea life. One of the side attractions is the Manatees rescue point, here you will find some of the worlds most endangered species being breed in captivity, to be released into the wild.
Obviously the main attraction is the SHAMU killer whale show. Set in a large auditorium that can seat in excess of 1000 people you can watch SHAMU perform tricks and twists to music. If it is a hot day and you want to cool off, why not sit in the splash Zone (15 rows that get soaking wet when SHAMU decides to splash!). This was one of the best shows we saw during our stay and really made the day out to Seaworld. There are also dolphin shows, sea lion shows and many more things to watch.
For the adults and larger children there is the mighty KRAKEN rollercoaster (Orlando’s tallest and fastest stand coaster). Here you will hit speeds well in excess of 65mph. This ride is not for the feint hearted! There is also the Journey to Atlantis, another ride that gets you very wet. This takes you through a magical trip to Atlantis and then decides to drop you 100ft into the water at the bottom! Out of all the rides this was the one the family liked best.
Overall Seaworld is a great place to visit and is well recommended to add to your list of parks to go to on your holiday / Vacation in Orlando. Out of all the parks on offer I would rate this as on eof the best and only just behind Islands of Adventure for pure entertainment. A must see for all the family.
