Logans Roadhouse Grill, Orlando
We visited Logan’s Roadhouse Grill on a Sunday evening in July around 7pm. We did not have to wait for a table and were shown to our seats by a friendly hostess and set about deciding what we were going to have to eat from the vast menu, there was just too much to choose from! It was also very difficult to ignore the huge bucket of Monkey Nuts sitting on the table just begging to be eaten; we were very controlled and only nibbled on a couple though! It was cool to see that people were eating the nuts and just chucking the shells onto the floor, a-la spit and sawdust without the spit and all the shells were crunched into the floor!
(I did wonder what the restaurant would have looked like on opening that day and did someone brush up all the shells each night, I guess they do)!
The theme of the restaurant is geared toward; I think a local roughneck place with sawdust on the floors, country music and décor. We quite happily sang along to the music, hope our fellow dinners did not mind!
The restaurant was pretty full for a Sunday evening and was generally a mix of age ranges which were from baby to pensioners. It was obviously a very popular place and was a mix of tourists and locals.
We decided not to have a starter and just munch on the bread provided, as we are always full by the time the main meal arrives normally. We both ordered the same thing: 9oz Filet Mignon. I choose mashed potato and beans as my sides and hubby choose French Fries and beans as his. We washed it down with some diet coke and I sneaked in a Strawberry Daiquiri! The steaks/meal was quite plain with no frills but very tasty and cooked to our liking.
We turned down the offer of dessert as we were stuffed and asked for the check. The bill came and we were amazed to see the bill was around $40. We paid up and left and can heartily recommend Logan’s Roadhouse grill, especially to families as it is a great atmosphere and value for money.
We visited the location by Wal-Mart on the John Young Parkway but there are many locations throughout Florida. Try their website www.logansroadhouse.com for a look at locations and menus.
