Logans Roadhouse
Dining in Orlando is an experience wherever you go but sometimes it is nice to go to somewhere that offers something a little bit different. At Logans Roadhouse it is certainly that.
Situated on the US102 not far from Old town a great location enabling you to have a great night at Old town and then eat nearby, as it is sometimes difficult to find parking at old town if you park at Logans to eat then afterwards you can walk to Old town ( the walk helps you burn off a few calories that you have inevitably just eaten ! )
As soon as you walk through the door you know that the atmosphere is different and you are faced with great barrels of peanuts, there is a bar to wait if it is a bit busy but normally you don’t have to wait too long and there are also buckets of peanuts on all the tables around so you can nibble away till your hearts content, the trouble is that you are tempted to keep eating the peanuts as they are so good and if you have too many it will spoil your appetite.
You can see the kitchens from that area and they even show you what cuts of steaks etc are available and the various sizes ! large, huge and enormous.
Once you are ready to be seated you are taken to your table , the first thing you will notice is that the floor is covered with peanut shells and you feel like asking if they need a hand to clear them up ! once the initial shock wears off and you get to your table crunching your way along you will notice that around all the tables there are piles of peanut shells and people just sweep them from the table to the floor. The children think this is great fun and about the only place they can visit without being told off for making a mess, the look on their faces is priceless !!
Apart from the sheer fun of it the menu is very good, the ribs were the best I had eaten anywhere and the steaks were delicious too ( not that I had both , we visited more than once ! ). As per usual I never made it to the deserts but from what I saw going to other tables these were as good as anywhere too.
So if you want a meal with a difference and a bit of fun too, give Logans Roadhouse a try.
