Islands of Adventure is Great
I want to tell you all about this fantastic park and why I think it’s one of the premier theme parks in Orlando. Universal Studios is made up of 5 Islands with the most cutting edge rides, shows and attractions ever created to challenge even the most hardened of roller coaster junkie.
Let’s start off with the Marvel Super Hero Island.
This ahs some of the most thrilling rides in the park, based on the marvel comic books where the World’s greatest super heroes pit themselves against the world’s worst super villains, it’s a battle of good verses evil. First off we have The Incredible Hulk Coaster, this ride is superb, you climb aboard the roller coaster which then takes you on a fierce ride of loops, twists and turns at speeds of 75mph. This definitely gets the thumbs up for adrenalin 10/10.
Next up is one of my favorite rides The Amazing Adventure’s of Spiderman, put on your 3-D glasses and climb aboard as you take a ride like no other. You have to save the city from evil villains who want to destroy the city, Spiderman climbs aboard your vehicle to help as you take the drive of your life, you career through the streets and high above the buildings. This gets my vote as one of the premier rides of any park, not to be missed 10/10.
Now it’s the Dr Doom’s Fearful A ride that takes you 150 feet in the air and then catapults you down quicker than gravity itself, this is not for the faint hearted 8/10
Storm Force Accelerator The is a ride based on the X-Men you have to help Storm beat the evil Magneto in a whirling, twirling spinning power generator. This gets 7/10
You can also meet all your favorite super heroes and have your photo taken with the likes of Spiderman, X-Men and Dr Doom.
The next Island is Toon Lagoon. Fist ride is the Dudley Do-Rights Ripsaw Falls. Be prepared to get wet as you plummet down an almighty flume in a log. 9/10
Next are Popeye and Blutos Bilge-Rat Barges. You will brave white water rapids in this splashing raft ride in order to save Olive Oil, make sure you bring your towels for this one. 9/10
King’s Row and Comic Strip Lane. See where all your favorite cartoon and comic strip characters live and meet them in person, this is great for the kiddies. 9/10.
The next Island is Jurassic Park. This needs no Introductions. Take an unforgettable river raft ride and see dinosaurs in their natural habitats. But be careful…the fences are down, the Raptors have broken loose, and the only escape from the terrifying jaws of a hungry T-Rex is an 85-foot plunge in total darkness. Another top-notch ride that gets my vote. 10/10.
Jurassic Park Discovery Center. Learn all about the Dinosaurs and how they lived millions of years ago, see the fossils of a T-Rex and more. 8/10
Pteranodon Flyers. This is were you jump aboard a cable car and get a bird’s eye view of Jurassic Park, well worth a go. 8/10
The next Island is The Lost Continent. First up is Dueling Dragons, this is the first Inverted roller coaster, soaring 125 feet in the air and speeds of up to 55 mph, here’s the good part though this is actually 2 rides, one called Ice Dragon and the other Fire Dragon. They plummet up and then down and narrowly miss each other by inches in the sky. This is a roller coaster dream. 10/10.
The other attractions on this Island are The Eight voyage of Sinbad, this is a stunt show with Sinbad fighting the forces of evil, great for all the family. 9/10.
Also you have The new Poseidon’s Fury. This is an Underwater Adventure Tour where you’re trapped beneath the sea as huge fireballs, lasers and eruptions of water are all around you, well worth a visit. 9/10.
The last Island is Seuss Landing. This cater’s for the kids has some really good rides for all ages. The Cat in the Hat is based on the children’s book as you take a ride a couch through the pages of the book and you spin and swerve around. Good ride. 8/10.
Caro-Seuss-el is the merriest of merry go-rounds with all types of colorful creatures even the Grinch is there.
There are other kiddies rides too so you will happily entertained here.
Also you can dine and eat at lots of restaurants that are spread all over the park. All in all I would say that Islands of Adventure is well worth a visit and I for one will definitely be going back.
