How to book a Florida villa direct from the owner without worries
Well this is still the thing that scares an awful lot of people and is the reason why so very many people still prefer to book through a tour operator which as far more expensive and the majority of the time you are unlikely to know exactly which home you will be staying in.
So why do it, why not book direct with the owner and know exactly where you will be staying and what facilities you will have at the home of your choice.
First thing to do is go through a really good site such as www. orlandovillas. com which verifies each one of the homes that advertises with them as actually existing and being owned by the said owner and also this is done at six month intervals so you can rest assured on this point.
Secondly once you have perused the homes on offer and have chosen one or even several that you like the look of, you can then then make your enquiry which will go directly to the owner who should get back to you fairly quickly with their availability and costs involved which usually include such things as utilites, end of stay clean and CAN also include such things as national/international telephone call charges and use of pc with internet access as an awful lot of home now offer these facilites. Some owners include the tax but not all so just to make you aware of this.
Another extra you might want is the pool heating and this is usually an optional extra and is usually needed through the months of October to April.
The next step is that the owner or owners will get back to you with their availability and costs involved and it is then up to you to make your choice, once you have done this you can then contact the owner and ask for a booking form which is then sent to you along with the owners terms& conditions, this you then have to complete and send back to the owner along with the required deposit. Once the owner receives this they will then confirm your booking and a lot of owners will also help you with car-hire and satellite navigation which is an extremely useful thing to have and attraction tickets and even flights.
Never be afraid to call the owner if you have any questions and even ask for their management company details if you want that extra bit of reassurance.
From here it should be plain sailing and the owner will usually contact you once the balance becomes due which usually includes a refundable security deposit which is returned to you after your stay and this is normal practice.
Once you have paid the final balance the owner will then send you the directions and instructions to pick up the keys but most homes have lock boxes which enables you to go directly to the villa and so they will send you the relevant lock box codes and alarm codes.
Management company details are to be found inside the home should you need to contact them at all during your stay.
There you are, easy and I can guarantee that once you have booked this way you will not go back to a tour operator.
