Disneys Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue

Disney’s Hoop -de-do- musical revue is a comedy musical dinner show which is situated at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.

We booked the show when we were at down town Disney at the information office near the Ghirardelli’s ice cream shop as we had been told the show is very popular and can be booked up pretty far in advance so booking is best to avoid disappointment .

Included in the price of the ticket is dinner and service gratuity with nothing else to pay when you get there we could only pay by credit card no cash was accepted?

There are 3 shows a night around 5, 7 and 9 pm 365 days a year I believe.

We drove to fort wilderness camp ground and parked the car for the 7 pm sitting. As directed we then took a bus to the hall this is built like a big log saloon and is in the middle of the camp ground. We had our picture taken by the staff before going into the show.

On entering the hall we were seated upstairs in our pre booked seats. We were in the cheaper seats as this was all that was left that particular night. We had swivel chairs to see the stage and also to turn and eat our dinner at the table. Although we had the cheaper seats we still had a great view off all that was going on.

When seated a fresh garden salad was on the table with some lovely smelling hot corn bread. Our very helpful and friendly waiter brought us drinks. Our dishes were metal plates and our salad was served in a metal pot that you would expect cowboys to use. Our drink was served in jam jars for the moonshine.

There were 8 performers who started almost straight away with their routine all of whom were very good there was audience participation and everyone willingly joined in including me.

The main course was chicken ribs mashed potatoes and cowboy beans and more hot corn bread all of which was excellent.

More singing and dancing from the cast and some audience members were picked to join the cast on stage for part of the show all of whom performed very well indeed.

Dessert was strawberry shortcake and all the waiting staff joined the cast onstage each with there trays of shortcake which I might add was delicious.

While watching the show our waiter brought a washboard and spoon to our table which I happily took and played and joined in for the final part of the show which included feet stamping napkin waving and very loud wash board playing.

The show lasted about 1 ½ hours and was very good we all left with a smile on our face. Would I go back - yes I most defiantly would.
