Grabbing a Disney snack
As you walk around any of the Disney theme parks, you can smell the aroma of delicious popcorn and the offerings from the various and varied restaurants. Here are a few suggestions for meals and snacks that you may enjoy on your days in the parks.
If you enjoy Asian food, the Yak & Yeti in The Animal Kingdom near Mount Everest is the place for you. It is well decorated and also has a shop where you can pick up a souvenir. I love the tempura shrimp. Also in The Animal Kingdom, as you are heading for the safari, you will find the Kusafiri coffee shop. A great spot for a drink or a pastry.
At Hollywood Studios, you will find Fairfax Faire, near the Tower of Terror on Sunset Boulevard. They do a lovely pulled pork sandwich and a great loaded baked potato.
When visiting The Magic Kingdom I like to eat at Columbia Harbour House. It is a spacious counter service restaurant so you can usually find somewhere to sit even when the park is busy. Don't forget to look upstairs for seating. They do good platters and the Maine lobster roll is delicious.
Casey’s Corner which is located on the corner of Main Street USA is another Magic Kingdom favourite. Especially when waiting for the parades. The turn over is high, so their hot dogs are fresh and delicious and come with an assortment of toppings.
Of course, when visiting EPCOT, you can eat your way around the world, sampling cuisine from the many countries represented in The World Showcase. Choosing a favourite food is almost impossible. France has a fantastic array of pastries and the strawberry crepes are worth a try.
The United Kingdom’s Fish and Chips is an easy meal to carry if you don't have time to stop and want to carry on walking and exploring The World Showcase.
If you enjoy a Taco and a margarita then a visit to La Hacienda de San Angel in Mexico is a must. Enjoy the Mexican food as you look out over the World Showcase lagoon.
The Katsura Grill in Japan serves sushi and also offers teriyaki shrimp, chicken, beef and noodles.
Pizza is a firm favourite with everyone and the thin based pizzas served at Via Napoli are very good.
If you love a steak and want a full restaurant experience, then La Cellier located in Canada is a must.
There is a lot of choices to suit different tastes and budgets in all the parks so enjoy trying something different. `The worlds your oyster! `
