EPCOT FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL
The yearly EPCOT food and wine festival is a wonderful chance to sample some great cuisines of the world and if you are a foodie you will just love it even more!
The World show Case in EPCOT is an interesting place at the best of times but during the food festival each of the showcase countries have tasty treats from the various regions and there are in fact over 25 regions that you can sample from in the International Market Place.
The food is offered in apptetiser portions and these tasty snacks are not expensive and in fact all around the $3 mark. It is a great way to try something new without forking out for a whole meal you may not like! At each place they will also recommend to you which drink would go best with your food.
The various countries you can sample from are, of course the normal showcase countries but you can also sample a few more special featured countries just for the festival. You will find delights from:
South Africa, Morocco, Mexico, Chile, Turkey, Poland, China, India, Peru, Japan, Argentina, Dominican Republic, Ireland, Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Germany, New Zealand, Australia and of course the United States and Canada.
Another big part of the food and wine festival is the nightly entertainment. This is called Eat to the Beat and this is a series of concerts which features big names from by gone eras such as the Beach Boys. There are normally three shows a night around 5:45, 7. 00 pm and 8:15 pm
There are also special dining events where Disney and Celebrity chefs prepare fine food and the finest of wine makers including Champagne houses from France bring in their wares, but of course these events are not included in the entrance price but all information is located on the webpage relating to the food and wine festival. These special dining events are dotted throughout the festival and are a gastronomists dream.
So if you are craving something a bit different form the normal attractions and this has whetted the appetite why not add this to your list of things to do. The food and wine festival normally runs late September to mid November.
I shall certainly be visiting at least once this year as being a big foodie I could not let the chance go by!
