Florida Trip 2017 Day Two Part One
After a decent night sleep we all awoke pretty early around 6. 30-7am, Shirley was first up and I heard her putting the coffee percolator on so lazed in bed dozing till my coffee was delivered one of the perks of going to Florida as she always wakes up before me on a Florida trip.
After a couple of lovely coffees in bed, I heard Will and Karlie so decided to get up and have some breakfast, a few slices of toast and some jam very nice it was too, what we going to do today I asked hoping they would say just stay at the villa and chill out.
We thought we would go do more shopping and then come back and chill around the pool to recover from the flight they all announced then maybe go out for a steak tonight sounds good I thought where would we eat then, there was one place we all wanted to eat more than any other “Longhorn” the best steaks we had ever had in Florida.

How about a trip to Walmart after breakfast, we always have an annual pilgrimage to Walmart to marvel at the vast range of items that they sell, the consensus was “yea good choice” and so we set off in the SUV for Walmart.
Now I have visited Walmart many times but it never fails to amaze me just how many different items and products they sell, soon we were making our way through toiletries, DIY goods, car tyres to huge flat screen TV’s.
Soon we were in the food area buying out food for the next few days as we had only bought a few items last night as we were all too tired to shop after the long flight, plus Walmart was always cheaper than Publix although sometimes Publix quality would be better.
One thing we noticed early on was the price of food was much higher than when we last visited some product like bread were actually cheaper back home in England now that’s a first! Shopping done we headed for the tills but as this was a Sunday it was incredibly busy and so had to queue for quite a long time.
We were waiting behind one woman that kept questioning almost every items prices as the cashier rang it to see if was on a special deal or you could get two for the price of one, if it wasn’t on some special price or deal she would get the cashier to remove it!
