Fireworks Dessert Party
Disney introduced this new attraction in the summer of 2009 originally for it to run through the summer school holidays but it must have been successful because they have now extended it until the end of the December 2009. Guests at our villa during the summer had said how much they enjoyed it so we have planned to go on our next visit.
Most guests have stayed for the evening firework displays and more regular guests even have several spots that they go to watch the fireworks. Our family usually agrees to meet half an hour before the fireworks start on the bridge by Tomorrowland.
You can, for the rest of 2009 at least, enjoy an even more magical end to your day at Magic Kingdom by going to the Fireworks Dessert Party.
The Dessert Party begins an hour before fireworks show time with a self-service buffet which has wide selections of sweets as well as drinks. . Then, when ' Wishes' (or an alternate, special-occasion fireworks show) begins to fill the sky, all guests go to an exclusive area to view the Fireworks.
The Dessert Party and viewing take place nightly (weather permitting) at Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station. We have often stopped here for a burger and fries on previous visits.
The price when it first opened was $17. 99 (age 10-up) and $9. 99 (ages 3-9). You will need valid Magic Kingdom admission as well as paying for your Party. As seating is limited reservations are strongly recommended. 407-939-3463 (407-WDW-DINE)You will also need to pay at the time of making the booking. In quieter periods it may be possible to get seats by walking up to the podium, however whenever guests staying at our villa have tried to get seating without a reservation they have been unsuccessful.
The Party is a self service buffet where you can have as many desserts as you like. These include the following:
Brownies
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Cannoli
Canoes
Chocolate Peanut Butter Tart
Classic Cheesecake
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
Strawberry/Berry Tart
Chocolate Mousse Tart
Tiramisu Glass
Mango Shooter
Kiwi/Orange Tart
Pistachio Crème Brulee
Dark Chocolate Truffle
White Chocolate Truffle
Raspberry Tart
I think the Brownies and the Chocolate Chip Cookies alone will be enough to satisfy our girls whilst my Mother cannot wait to try the Chocolate Dipped Strawberries and the Pistachio Crème Brulee. I suspect parents with younger children will need to watch them carefully to ensure they do not over indulge!
This really is a lovely way to end your day at Magic Kingdom and you can follow it with a gentle stroll through the shops on you way back to the park exit.
