Fireworks Dessert Party Pt 3 The Entertainment
The fireworks were scheduled to start at 10pm but at 9. 45pm ' The Magic, The Memories and You' was scheduled to be projected onto Cinderella' s Castle. Well before this people started to gravitate to the edge of the terrace and selecting prime locations from which to view the events along the terrace rail.
We had never experienced ' The Magic, The Memories and You' on any previous visit as this is a relatively new event. . . . . . . . . wow! ! !
Following an announcement over the tannoy system, the lights in the park dimmed and the castle became a screen for the images projected on to it. These are pictures of resort guests taken earlier in the day throughout Walt Disney World, and literally hundreds of photographs are shown during the ten minute show.
This event is updated regularly according to various celebrations and seasons.
The presentation we viewed had summer elements, showing the castle as a beach, a jungle and an underwater seascape. The castle was regularly transformed throughout the presentation, a cry of ' To infinity and beyond' resulted in a space rocket blasting off and leaving flames in it' s wake, a multi-coloured projection turned the castle in to a gingerbread house and the finale covered the castle in literally hundreds (possibly thousands) of individual photographs, an amazing sight! All this is set to a narrative of voice and music, some new and some of which will be familiar to you. Apart from the delicious desserts, which satisfied our sweet tooth cravings, this was the highlight of our evening as it was such a new experience.
Once this spectacle was over, there was only a short five minute wait until the Wishes Firework Display began ( we have previously written a detailed account of Wishes so at this point will only concentrate on the highlights). Following the musical introduction and initial fireworks we awaited Tinkerbell' s flight. We could see that the aerial line ran close to our location but we did not realise just how close as she flew right over our heads before landing on the roof above us.
The detail we could view at such close quarters was amazing. Virtually every twinkling light on her costume, slippers and wand could be viewed. . . . wonderful!
We can highly recommend this experience despite the frustration of trying to secure our tickets. For the view alone of ' The Magic, The Memories and You' and the Wishes Firework Display, this was value for money. Add to that the truly scrumptious desserts this experience is high on the list of occasions to be repeated. Even for seasoned Disney Park visitors this was a true highlight and for first timers an event not to be missed! !
