Thank Goodness It's FRIDAY'S
We have had several good experiences in TGI Fridays.
There is an abundance of meals to choose from and they really do cater for everyone's taste and offer some great variety and options for the little ones.
The prices are really good and much less than back home in the UK and as everyone already knows, like everywhere in Florida you are getting almost double the portions. (And we wonder why we have put on so much weight when we arrive home!)
My son ordered Potato Wedges as his starter and it came out with 6 rather large wedges filled with bacon and cheese! This, the waiter told us was the smaller starter portion! The larger comes with 10! Yes 10 large wedges with bacon and cheese on them and your choice of many different dips.
My husband and I both enjoyed lovely Caesar Salads as our starter.
For main courses I ordered a kids portion of crispy chicken and fries that I found more than sufficient, my husband had the larger portion (almost double the size) of this and I think my son had a large Burger and chips with all the toppings you could imagine, cheese, bacon, tomatoes, lettuce.
Nobody could manage to squeeze in a dessert but we did see others who had desserts and a few of them looked extremely tasty!
The last time we visited they also had a set price menu which was very reasonable with the choice of a few starters, a few main courses and a few desserts and I think it was about $15 so very good value for money.
TGI Fridays is very clean and the staff are more than helpful and we have always found them willing to chat away but do not go on for to long that they become irritating like we have experienced in some other restaurants.
Drinks are very good value as well as I had a few Margherita’s and although I cannot remember the price they were but they came in a huge pint / pitcher glass and as I am sure you can appreciate the larger the glass the better!
My son couldn't believe the price of a pint of Budweiser! $2.49 compared to £2.85 back home in his local pub!
And he did go onto say that it was even better than back home.
I would recommend that if you have the chance you should try TGI Fridays, as we are sure that you will not be disappointed and will find it hard to beat it’s value for money.
