Epcot (1)
Epcot is one of the four Disney world parks. The most stunning imaginative place to visit while you are in Florida.
It is divided into two parts so give yourself time to explore this mind-blowing place. Most visitors that have already been keep on going back time after time and still say there is things they haven’t seen or done. One way is to do the main part of the park one day and then go back a second day so that you can stay long enough to see the daily night time firework and laser display. You might have seen many displays but until you have seen this one “ you aint seen nothing yet “ especially the Christmas one, it is absolutely mind blowing. Getting to a good area to see them is a must there are several place around the showcase to stand and view them and is something you really must not miss.
Starting with the huge structure that looks like a giant golf ball, this is spaceship earth which gently takes you through evolution through the ages until you reach the top inside then gradually brings you back “ down to earth “ a super ride and has been there since Epcot opened.
The first part is great for the kids as there are loads of hands on stuff for them, it also has a 3D theatre and rides, but a lot of it is very educational in an expertly interesting way. Seeing how the vegetables are grown in Epcot and used in their restaurants is one of many, the bodyworks ride, taking you inside and through the body and the evolution from the dinosaur ages is a must.
But for me the best part is the second section, which is the World showcase, each Country has its own unique theme, some with their own restaurants and produce where you can buy good and see traditional things from that particular country. There are several with rides, but not roller coasters and some that are linked to the actual country you are in, the Norwegian boat ride is one of my favourites.
You can taste the produce of most of the countries and some excellent restaurants are around from the usual American fare in the Whitehouse to Japanese cuisine and Italian ice-cream, German beers and our very own fish and chips in the Rose and Crown. In the spring there is a flower festival, there is bands that go round the park and also street entertainers, shows and displays at different countries throughout the day.
A truly brilliant experience and certainly one you cannot miss.
