Enjoying Animal Kingdom Part 3
We were having a lovely day at Animal Kingdom having been to the shows and rides as well as having our photo taken with Mickey and after all that stopping for lunch.
We then decided it was time for a rest, a drink and to watch the Parade. If you want a really good place to see the Parade go to the Dawa Bar. Here the adults can sit with a drink and relax whilst waiting for the Parade and the children can get a good vantage point in front of them.
The parade starts and finishes in Africa and is really colourful by sitting in the Dawa Bar you can see it twice; the children thought this was great.
.
Then it was time for ' Tough to Be a Bug' which is a short funny 3D show. You have to walk through/around the tree of life to get to the entrance so its fun spotting the animals that are engraved into the tree so the wait for the show goes very quickly. The show was too scary for my then 4 year old but it is good and well worth going to. Must admit we have not been able to get her to go back since so we take it in turns to stand outside with her!
On our way to Dinoland there is a Character greeting spot and we got to cuddle Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore as well as getting their autographs and some great photos.
At Dinoland USA we fast passed onto the Primeval Whirl - waltzers in the air! If you like thrill rides; it' s a good one but not the worst. This is worth Fast passing though as it is a busy ride.
The Boneyard Playground was great for the girls and they can get wet if they want to. Fossil Fun Games is carnival-style fairground style of fun, you have to pay but you will see lots of people walking around with strange looking animals/dinosaurs that can be won here. We often find these left behind at our villa! There are a few rides here and we also went on the Tricera-Top Spin which is a leisurely ride and enjoyable for the very young ones. We did not manage Dinosaur as it was nearing 7pm and the park was closing, but this is supposed to be a good ride with a height requirement of 40' but you can Fastpass this too.
Hope you enjoy Animal Kingdom as much as we did.
