Disney's Greatest Restrooms
Lots of Human traffic is always going to result in lots of people needing to use the restroom. While Disney is outstanding at maintaining its facilities on site, there is no doubt that some restrooms are busier than others and sometimes the busiest are something you may want to avoid at peak times.
The first thing to say is that the restrooms in the resorts will always be the cleanest and best maintained. The parks have more traffic and consequently vary in their pleasantness to use.
On the basis of cleanliness, space and convenience of location, I’ve compiled a list of the “best” restrooms in Disney, spread across the whole site.
Magic Kingdom:
Magic Kingdom has the most traffic of all the parks and subsequently has the most restrooms which should probably be avoided. The following are all well-kept and not too busy:
Splash Mountain: The restrooms at the exit of the Splash Mountain ride (next to Splash Down Photographs) are not restricted to those coming off the ride. They are rarely busy since nobody knows they are there unless they have already ridden the attraction.
Pecos Bill’s: There is a side entrance to Pecos Bills (Just at the convergence of Adventureland and Frontierland) which means you may use the restroom without walking past the service counter or a bunch of people eating lunch. They are a much better option than the joint Adventureland/Frontierland restrooms further down the roads which are probably the busiest on site.
Fantasyland: The restrooms on the far side of Peter Pan’s Flight are busy, but also very large and frequently serviced.
Space Mountain: There is a large space to the right of Space Mountain – on the way to the usually unused Tomorrowland Theater. There is a very large restroom there which is always empty.
Casey’s Corner: The restroom between Casey’s Corner hot dogs and The Crystal Palace (at the end of Main Street) is a cracker.
EPCOT:
Owing to the size of EPCOT, and the spread of guests, the restrooms in EPCOT are almost all excellent. However the most convenient, are the ones at the old Odyssey restaurant (left on the approach to Future World), the ones outside the Germany Pavilion and the Living Seas restrooms. The Electric Umbrella and Land restrooms are probably the busiest.
Hollywood Studios:
Avoid the restrooms on Sunset Boulevard if possible (particularly after a Beauty and Beast show). The restrooms at park entrance are always well kept, as are those on the left of the Chinese Theater. Hollywood Studios, like EPCOT, is generally quite good for restrooms.
Animal Kingdom:
After Magic Kingdom, the worst place for restrooms. The best are in Pizzafari and Tusker House. If you don’t feel comfortable going into eateries to only use the facilities the restrooms on the walkway between the main body of Asia and Expedition Everest are generally not too busy. The facilities at the park entrance are pretty good too.
It’s also worth pointing out in this article that as part of Disney’s generally great service, there is a baby changing station in every restroom in all the parks and resorts, and a baby centre in all of the parks.
