Disney Hollywood Studios
This fantastic theme park is Disney’s answer to Hollywood with its real life working film studio, there are TV productions being filmed here all the time. With its 12 storey hire Sorcerer Mickey hat at the centre of the park being the symbol of Disney magic. The park is over 135 acres in size and has some of the best Disney attractions, including Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Rock N Roll Roller Coaster, to name but a few.
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is definitely one not to be missed. This magnificent haunted hotel ride takes guests up to the top of its 13 stories where you have fabulous views over the park. But beware, this lift is not all it seems, as you plummet back down to the ground. Unfortunately this experience is now repeated several times. Not one for the faint hearted. This is a very popular ride and queues can get very long, very quickly. A great one to do in the dark, if you dare.
The newly added Rock N Roller Coaster is also very popular, but well worth queuing for. Remember you can get a fastpass ticket for most of the rides at this park. This fast roller coaster ride is in the dark and has a high speed launch at the start. Features music from Aerosmith as you ride through a mock Los Angeles set.
Why not join in the fun at “Who wants to be a millionaire” this new attraction is a major success for Disney and very popular. There are only ten shows a day, so don’t miss out. Accommodating 1600 guests at a time, you are given the chance to participate in the show and win prizes. All guests have the chance to win “fastest finger first” and get onto the main stage.
There are plenty of rides and attractions here for the smaller guests. The Muppet Visison 4D is a brilliant show for all ages. But be warned, some strange things may happen! There is also a lovely adventure playground based on the film Honey I shrunk the kids. With its giant insects, grass slides and mushroom caves the kids will love it.
Don’t miss The Beauty and The Beast live on stage show. Lasting for 20 minutes this is one of the best shows at the park. The other show not to be missed is Fantasmic, an epic special effects show staged twice every night, lasting for 25 minutes, seating starts 90 minutes before showtime. It is advisable to get there early as this is a very popular show.
Of course there is lots more to see and do at Hollywood Studios. You will probably want more than a day at this park. But definetly one not to Disney Hollywood Studios.
