See a Different side to SeaWorld
There are numerous other attractions at SeaWorld, Orlando apart from the animal shows and the thrill rides. All of these are certainly worth a visit if you intend to spend the whole day at the park.
The Oyster’s SecretGuests are able to view highly experienced swimmers, as they search for perfect pearl-bearing oysters, from an underwater viewing area. Real pearls are then extracted from the oysters at the pearlsmith shop and made into custom-made jewellery. If you are looking for a souvenir of your SeaWorld visit, this could make an ideal gift for friends, family or even yourself.
The WaterfrontThe Waterfront is designed to imitate the world’s most lively seaside cities, full of restaurants, shops and street performers. During Christmas time and the summer months guests can watch the fireworks and fountain shows from the village.
Shamu’s Happy HarbourChildren will love this great playground with slides, tunnels and four stories of nets in which to scramble around. For the little tots there is also a small playground over to one side.
Key West at SeaWorldKey West features a sandy beach, a living coral reef, a tropical lagoon with undulating waves and an underwater viewing area. Visit the endangered sea turtles, feed and stroke the dolphins and stingrays or just enjoy this tropical paradise with all the splendour and charisma of Key West in Florida.
Hospitality CentreThe Anheuser-Busch Hospitality Center offers SeaWorld guests, aged twenty-one and over, free beer samples. They do impose limits, only one sample at a time and only two a day. Don’t be expecting pints as the beverages are served in small cups of about ten ounces. Most of their brands are available including a non-alcoholic beer.
Also housed in the hospitality center is the Budweiser Beer School. Guests can learn, during a forty-five minute presentation, how Anheuser-Busch brew their beer and the history behind Anheuser-Busch. After the video guests are invited to a beer sampling and are presented with a certificate confirming their new skills as “Beermasters”.
Sky TowerThe Sky Tower is the centrepiece of SeaWorld and you cannot fail to miss the 400 feet structure as you enter the park. For a small fee you can enjoy the six-minute ride, as the Sky Tower slowly rotates whilst rising upwards at the same time. The views are spectacular. Look for Spaceship Earth in Epcot and Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom. However, if there is any chance of lightening or high winds the tower will not open.
