SUNDAY
We awoke to a rather nice and sunny Sunday morning and after breakfast we decided to go and surprise a few folks.
First of all we wanted to check out the garden and pool so for the first time since I arrived on Wednesday I went out onto the pool deck with hubby while he walked round the garden. We have a lot of wildlife around us and we were looking to see what was out there. All the usual suspects were spotted including our resident Sparrow Hawk plus a couple of colourful spiders who had taken residence on the pool cage, on the outside so we just let them do their thing. I love this morning feeling when it is sunny and it’s early and you have the whole day ahead and the delights of staying in a villa really hits home.
As we had nothing too energetic planned for the day we went to visit our nearest friend but her hubby was at work and she was at home cleaning. Well she nearly died when she opened the door and hubby was there, so we had a nice catch up and then decided we would call back later in the day and surprise her hubby too.
Next port of call was another friend. I rang the doorbell and when she answered hubby was standing just to the side of me so she got her second surprise from our household that week! Lots more catching up later and then we decided lunch was the order of the day and we needed to also go to Wal*Mart at Cagan Crossings.
Enroute we decided to divert to Bob Evans for lunch and drove up to Clermont and have a lovely lunch of salad and banana bread!
We then arrived at Wal*Mart and headed for the nail salon as hubby wanted a pedicure, funny really as I had to more or less force him into the chair the first time he had one! Now it is part of his holiday routine! So I thought sod it I am going to have some nail art put on my nails. An hour later we headed back to the villa as we were out with friends that evening.
On the way back from the Mall we had arranged with our chum to call back in to surprise her hubby and I think we managed that too! So an hour or so later we had caught up and then we went back to the villa to get organised for our night out.
In the evening we had planned a trip to Mannys with a friend who had kindly picked us up and we were pleased when another set of friends also turned up as we had missed surprising them during the day as they were out and about. They were also surprised to see hubby and he them although when my chum told me two others were coming and couldn’t remember their names I was suspicious and said to hubby I bet it is xx and xx! !
A very pleasant time was had by all and we wolfed down the salad and then I managed half of my Filet Mignon with blue cheeses and a loaded baked potato. I had to box the rest!
Tired we came back to the villa ready for an active week ahead!
