Florida Guide > Universal Parks
Our evening usually City Walk, which is situated between Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, is a great place for an adult’s night out. We usually take the I4 and follow the Universal Studio signs.
starts with a gentle stroll through the shops. My Father always visits Cigarz which specialises in superior cigars as he brings one back for a friend.
Mother and I usually head for Dapy, this has novelties and gifts. This we follow with a visit to Fresh Produce, which sells brightly coloured mens, womens, and childrens clothes.
If you are looking for beachwear Quiet Flight Surf shop is worth a visit. Character clothing can be bought at Cartooniversal and Universal products can be bought at their store.
City Walk Arcade is the place to go if you want to play video games whilst the Endangered Species Store has merchandise dedicated to endangered species.
We always have a meal at City Walk but if just want a coffee there is a Starbucks and also Cinnabon, the latter sells great hot cinnamon rolls, coffee and soft ice cream.
There is a Universal Cineplex here that I believe has 20 screens. If you want to see a movie and have a meal there is a Meal and Movie deal for approx $20 that gives you entrance to the movie and a meal from a special menu at most of the restaurants.
Last time we dined at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville, they have live entertainment here every night and there is a $5 cover charge after 10.00pm.
We shared Jamaica Mistaica Wings and Volcano Nachos for starters and the Nachos were about the best I have had.
My Father opted for Lobster and Shrimp salad whilst I had Chicken and Broccoli Pasta that was very good and my Mother had Coconut Shrimp as this was served with her favourite mashed potatoes!
His choice of salad obviously meant that my Father was leaving room for dessert and he had Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding. This was served warm with vanilla ice cream, chocolate peanut butter sauce, whipped cream and peanuts. Needless to say we helped him!
There is plenty of choice of restaurants at City Walk Amongst these are:
Hard Rock Café with all its pieces rock memorabilia offers good American food.
Pastomore Ristorante- this is a family style eatery selling great Italian food.
NASCAR Café serving steaks chops bbq and salads.
If you want to stay on for the clubs I suggest you get an All Club Access ticket as this is only about $10 and if you are going to more than one club this will give you saving on individual entrance charges.
Bob Marleys Tribute to Freedom provides live reggae in an open-air gazebo. There is also a restaurant here.
Pat O’Briens is open until 2.00am as are most of the clubs. There are three bars here the Flaming Fountains bar, piano bar and neighbourhood bar. Remember to try their famous Hurricane drink if you visit here.
City Jazz is where you can enjoy funk, R&B, Soul and Rock.
Latin Quarter as well as being a nightclub has a restaurant and you can enjoy live entertainment nightly here.
If you like 70’s and 80’s music The Groove with its 3 lounges is the place to go.
Whether you shop, dine or go to a club you should have an enjoyable evening at City Walk.
