Chilis at Cagan Crossings
Cagan Crossings is a fairly new retail development situated on the 27 near its junction with the 192. If you need to access it from the 192 just head north onto the 27 and after half a mile on the right you will see Chili’s.
On the right hand side of the 27 in this development you will also find Walmart and Lowes.
Whilst most of the family visited Magic Kingdom my parents first went here when they had been too busy for breakfast and decided to treat themselves to lunch. My brother had stayed at the villa to relax so they volunteered to get a take away when they had finished their lunch
There is a large car park at this restaurant and a part of it is devoted to customers who are just ordering and collecting take aways.
This is a large restaurant with a “Cheers” style bar area and as they often do when dining alone my parents sat here and initially ordered their soft drinks which were continually refilled throughout the meal. They choose their meal from the “Bottomless Express Lunch” menu. Before their meals came they were served with chips and a great dip, they couldn’t work out whether these were complementary or part of the lunch menu. We subsequently dined here at night and did not get these before our meal.
Mom opted for a bowl of Chil’is Terlingua Chili which was chunks of beef with onions, peppers and chilies and came topped sour cream and cheese. With this came a choice of salads. Mom who would not usually have chili very often at home said it was really good.
Dad had and really enjoyed Quesadilla Explosion Salad which lived up to its name. It was Fajita-marinated chicken with several cheeses, corn relish and diced tomato with a really tangy dressing. It was served with cheese quesadilla wedges.
After their meals they made the decision they would have a light dinner that night and decided to treat themselves to desserts. When they ordered their desserts the server also took the order for my brother’s take away.
Mom thoroughly enjoyed her White Chocolate Molten Cake which was served warm with raspberry sauce and white chocolate curls as well as being topped with vanilla ice cream and a white chocolate shell! Dad however, with a smaller appetite, had cheesecake with strawberry sauce.
Their take away order was given to them as soon as they requested the bill. It was Honey Chicken Crispers, strips of chicken in a honey sauce and came with sweet corn on the cob and home-style fries.
They thoroughly enjoyed their lunch as did my brother his meal and said they would definitely recommend the lunch time menu and the service provided to everyone.
