Character dining at Disney
The choice is great Mickey Mouse, Donald and friends, a Disney princess maybe!
A Walt Disney character breakfast would set the kids up for the day and what a way to start.
Character meals are generally buffet style so everyone is happy, but they do do family service meals where all you can eat would be brought to your table
The first thing you need to decide is what character you want to dine with
Some examples are Dine with Mickey at Chef Mickey this is in the Disney Contempory resort. You can reach it by the monorail why not do it on the way to a day at Magic Kingdom
Or For the Girls what about having a meal at the Akershus Norwegian castle at Epcot and dine with 4 or 5 princesses and there friends
Another popular dinning experience is with Cinderella at Cinderella’s once upon a time breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal table this is situated in the magic kingdom and does a wonderful breakfast
There is no better place for the children to have a close up and personnel experience with there favourite character, but please before booking always check that there favourite character will be there on your chosen day. Sometimes they do change schedules
What a wonderful experience for a child to meet there favourite but always remember that sometimes it’s a little overwhelming for some of the younger children as we found out on one of our visits with a younger grandchild she was so took back on meeting the fairy godmother she went rigid for the first half hour as she thought she would cast a spell on her, after the first half hour she relaxed and enjoyed it so much cried when fairy godmother left.
On another occasion when we were at a chip and dale experience one child howled that much the whole family had to leave (the child was only about 18 months old
We have also been to the fort wilderness lodge for breakfast and there they do a cowboy and Indian type of thing with breakfast served in a skillet again it was all you can eat but served at the table. The servers got all the children up and had them riding around the dinning room on wooden horses, they all thoroughly enjoyed it
All the character dinning is more expensive than say the typical breakfast but you are paying for the experience and in my opinion well worth the extra cost
