Burger or not to burger?
If like me you are not a burger fan (any type but especially take out varieties) but your children like them do you compromise or not? Well in our household the children are now 14 and 15 so I do not have alot of control over what they eat and especially what they want to eat. Which brings me to the question – how in America can you go two weeks without having a burger! ! ! Compromise thats how. The usual takeout places, well we can get just the same at home , if not as big perhaps. I am not totally against them but I know if I let my kids choose it would be burger after burger. So having tried a number of different venues for burgers over the years in America we have come up with two must have burger eating places.
The first and best in our family’s opinion is the one in Magic Kingdom not sure what it is called but it is located in Frontierland opposite Splash Mountain. The burgers are delicious but what makes it special is the buffet bar which has a chef cooking various extras such as fried onions, mushrooms and making various salad dishes . It is self service and is very tasty – even though I dont normally eat burgers I always enjoy this meal. The price is relatively cheap compared to other eating venues on Disney. The restaurant does get busy but there is an upstairs part too which usually has plenty of room. The toilets are upstairs too and are normally very clean and well tended.
The second must have burger is in Animal Kingdom and can be found in Dinorsaur Land. This is on a par with the one in Magic Kingdom which offers self service and also the buffet bar. They also serve root beer – not something I like but hubby loves it.
So that is our compromise on burgers – two places that offer delicious burgers with a buffet style manned section which you can get as much as you desire and we give a miss to all the normal takeaway burger places that quite frankly you can get anywhere in the world and that normally tastes just the same.
