Buffalo Wild Wings
Although we had seen this restaurant tucked away just off the 192 junction with Formosa Boulevard we had never tried it but decided to go there when my Grandpa wanted to try somewhere different and it had been recommended by our painter. So off we went and were surprised. It is very big and has more TVs than any other place we have visited before.
You are met at the entrance by the usual meet and greet staff and can sit down in the large dining are or go to two bars, one inside and the other covered outside. Grandpa said he has never seen TV’s that big before anywhere and so many of them. There seemed to be nowhere where you sit that does not have a view of the big screen televisions.
The first time we went it was to the outside bar which is more the smokers place but huge with a bar that must seat forty and high and low tables with another 100 or so seats and the inside is even bigger.
The bar was busy but the staff were good at looking after you. Offers on beer during happy hour encourage you to have the large tall beers as these are nearly twice the size but only $1 more and there is the usual wide selection of drafts and bottles all at reasonable prices. There are different offers on food and drinks with $2 $3 and $5 options.
Grandpa chose to have a small slider burger and fries with a portion of onion rings which was the usual small portion! ! ! Big and plentiful. Looking at the other diners portions, normal was real big and many people were trying the small snacks. For wings there were about 5 or more choices of sauce. Staff were great and guys who ran the outside bar did so really well and we had a great night out.
A few days later we tried it again on a busy Saturday. This time we ate at the inside bar which was really busy but still friendly, with quick and happy service all night. It was after the happy hour but we still felt it was great value. This time we tried the snacks of wings and potatoes dressed with bacon and cheese. We also tried the mango and chilli dressing which was ranked 'hot and sweet' ... and it was hot even for Grandpa.
There was lots going on children and grown-ups playing basketball at one of those big fairground machines. A little kid was beating the grown-ups easily and some of these looked like real basketball players but he took his time and never seemed to miss or show off. He then went back to his parents for more dollars and beat the next lot of 'would be' players just as easily! Still it added to the entertainment we had another enjoyable evening.
We will definitely go back there in the future.
