Blue Man Group: Big changes afoot!
The last time we went to Universal Studios, there was a whole booth staffed with people promoting that marvellous show, The Blue Man Group, so I guess they are expecting it to stay around for some time yet.
And to further re inforce that view, this show has just had a major overhaul that employs all the latest technology.
The thing I am looking forward to the most is the awesome new finale. Let me tell you a little about it without entirely spoiling the surprise.
As the show ends, the audience will be bombarded with light filled, helium balloons. These will be further highlighted with strobe lighting.
These colourful balls will drift slowly downwards and you are encouraged to shake your tail feather as you bat these balls round the auditorium.
For those of you that have launched any Sky Lanterns, think of a similar effect but coming down instead of going up.
Many of you will have seen the show before and you will remember that the finale utilised a huge amount of paper. Therefore the saving on waste will cheer up the green conscious (Walmart take note when you give out a bag per item)
Along with this exciting new finale, they have changed around 50% of the show content.
One of the new features is described thus: three of the Blue Men cast utilise 3 Gi Pads that are 9 feet high to skewer the state of interpersonal communication of modern times. Sounds like something that needs doing!
They also tease us with mention of singing alpacas and cats on sweepers. The lighting is also employing cutting edge technology bring the whole thing up to date. The L. E. D. screens have also increased in size.
All of this means that the show has been off for several weeks but it is now back with a bang
The show lasts something under the 2 hours and you are warned to wear casual clothes as you can get splashed; this is especialy true of the 4 front rows where you are VERY likely to get splashed. They fondly call these seats the ' poncho seats'
So where should you book your tickets? Well where alse but here http://www. park-tickets. com and this is also the best place to buy all your other Theme Park tickets.
