Birthday To Remember
Late last year my self and extended family all went to Florida to celebrate the family unit as we all live apart from each other in this country and find it difficult to get together on a regular basis. We had our own villas and that of a couple of friends so we were all close by but without being on top of each other. The kids in the party had a great time in and out of the pools and games rooms it was hard to get them to come in sometimes so we could go out !!!!
Whilst we were there we celebrated the 7th birthday of my youngest nephew Tom ( this was only the second time he had been to Florida) his special request was to have a character breakfast in one of the theme parks, he wasnt fussy which one thankfully as I was the one left doing all the organising it fell to me to get the best park on offer to satisfy a small boys dreams.
On the borthday itself we all packed up early and went off to Animal Kingdom as the breakfast was arranged for 8am !! the park was open and ready for us ( and all the others who were also celebrating something that day ) he was given a big badge with 'Birthday Boy' written on it by one of the staff and then we were lead to the restaurant for the help yourself breakfast. All the usual Disney characters such as Mickey, Minnie, pluto, Donald Duck etc were there and they seemed to spend ages talking to all the kids in the party not just the birthday boy although of course he was singled out a bit and made to feel really special, we all had a great time and were made to feel good by all the very helpful staff ( or should I say cast )members !!
The rest of the day was spent enjoying all the rides at the park, Tom especially enjoyed the safari which he made us all do twice one in the morning then again a bit later, the water rides had us all in fits of the giggles and we left the park early evening all a bit damp, bedraggled but in high spirits. It was truly magical day and to see the looks on the kids faces was brilliant I would highly recommend a character breakfast for the kids in your party. Go on celebrate in style ( it wasnt that expensive either !!)
