Best rollercoasters in Orlando
Having been to Orlando a few times now and sampled some of the best rides Florida has to offer I thought it only right I now shared my views on the best and worst rides in Orlando, Florida. If you are after a white knuckle experience then you have come to the right place!
My favourite park in Orlando is Universal Island of Adventure; this is mainly because it has some of the best rides in Florida all in the same park. It also has 2 of my top 4 rides (Hulk and Duelling Dragons). One of my main reasons for liking this park more than any is the way it can handle large crowds which allows you to enjoy the park more. My second best park is Disney Hollywood Studios for the shows and two other rides (Tower of terror and Rock n rollercoaster.
As for my least favourite park this has to be Disney Animal Kingdom, yes I can see the pull if you have kids, but what I feel this park does not cater for as well as the others is the way it does not really have that much to do for the adults. Unlike Hollywood Studios which has lots of shows, rides and things to do, I really felt short changed with Animal Kingdom. So there you have it my worst park.
As for the best rides I have yet to include the new ride at Busch Gardens (Sheikra), although they tell me this is one hell of a ride!
What I like about the rides I have chosen is each one gives you a different sensation and feeling while riding it. If you like your rides big and fast then the HULK is great, accelerating from 0 -60 in 3 seconds and having the some of the largest loops in the US. Duelling Dragons is more similar to the UK Nemesis ride at Alton towers, but here ends the similarity. The ride has 2 separate cars racing round two separate tracks, each one giving you a different feeling. Ride this at the front and it is very hard to beat in terms of pure adrenaline. My final ride would be the Tower of terror ride at Hollywood Studios. As soon as you step in the large mansion you are transported back in time to the 1920’s where you are guests staying at the hotel. The way the building is designed really keeps you occupied all the way until you get into the lift itself. Hold onto your hats, as you get dropped 13 storeys and back up again. Since I last rode the tower of terror they have added more drops and special effects, so who knows how scary it has become.
So there you have it my top 3 rides, 1st Duelling Dragons, 2nd Hulk and 3rd Tower of terror 4th Rock 'n' rollercoaster. I am sure others will have their own favourites (maybe those who don’t like rollercoaster’s), but this is just a quick incite to my favourites.
