A Glimpse To Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Animal kingdom was opened in 1998, a mixture of ecology, zoo with more than a thousand animals and a theme park with its usual rides and attractions, parades and fireworks. Is the greenest of the theme parks, has seven main areas all built around a striking sculpture of The Tree of life. Landscapes and Themes from Africa, Asia, Dinoland USA and a lot more.

The park is a lush oasis of around 500 acres with the Africa and Asia theme. There are over 1, 800 plants, vines, ferns and over 600 trees and more than 350 kinds of grass from all over the world.

The animals that roam the various sections include more than 1, 000 birds, iguanas, chagorillas, hippos, zebra, rhinos, giraffes, miniature deer. . . .

As guests enter the theme park they are lead into The Oasis, the green and lush tropical garden, followed by the Discovery island, where an astonishing 14-storey tree, 170 feet wide “the Tree of life”, symbolises the connection of all life with animals. It is centred in the park surrounded by pools and meadows, filled with birds and small mammals. The trunk of the tree is carved as a pattern of animal forms that symbolize the animal life on earth.

After that you may visit Africa where you enter through the East African port of Harmbe to some of the most spectacular parts of the park.

A must visit is the Kilimanjaro safari across Africa that bring the guests near to real Lions, Elephants, Zebras, Giraffes and dozens of other familiar and rare animals. Animal lovers and keen Photographers will enjoy the safari and will have the chance to be so close to them.

If it is a warm morning, head for Asia. A stroll through Asia guests can watch real tigers in the ruins of Maharajah’s palace and Maharajah’s Jungle trek. Then you can enjoy the wet rapids tour through the Kali river and Tropical rainforest.

For dinosaur lovers the Dinoland USA is a site filled with fossils where kids can slide, bounce and slither through the bones of Tyrannosaurus rex, triceratops and other long gone giants.

Camp Minnie-Mickey is Mickey’s and his friend’s area. A paradise for all kids and adults, set in a North-eastern forest of cedar trees, benches and other furniture all handcrafted. All trails lead to a character meeting spot.

Another spectacular show is the Festival of the lion king. The guests are assigned to one of four triangular sections: Elephant, Giraffe, Warthog and Lion. The giant stage move in from four directions and bring close Simpa and other animal heroes of the Lion King along with singers, dancers, acrobats costumed in African theme.

In Animal kingdom there is a Conservation station, the veterinary headquarters and centre for conservation programs. Just inside the building, in the Hall of other animals another mural presents hundreds of other animals looking directly at their visitors. Here guests can meet animal experts and learn about the behind the scene operations of the park and how they can help the animals they have met.

This is a great way to end the day and fulfill memories, take lots of pictures. Almost forgot to mention the roller coaster ride Expedition on Everest. This is where you confront the Yeti, I will say no more! !

Enjoy Animal kingdom.
