……. continuing on from my first article entitled ‘Toy Story Mania – Part One’
The first game is the Pie Throw Practice. This is the practice round in which you will have to splat the targets with pies (virtual pies of course, imagine the mess if they weren’t! ).
The second game is called Hamm and Eggs where riders must fire virtual plastic eggs at the targets. This is followed by Bo Peep’s Baa-loon Pop. Sheep, trees and other objects are balloons which you must pop with your virtual dart. Look out for the water balloons though, because if you pop one of these you may be in for a slight wetting!
Next up is the Green Army Men Shoot Camp where your targets are plates which must be broken with your virtual baseball. Green Army Men Shoot Camp is followed by Buzz Lightyear’s Flying Tossers. Here you must toss your virtual ring whilst aiming at the little green aliens.
The sixth game is called Woody’s Rootin’ Tootin’ Shootin’ Gallery where guests ride through the Wild West firing their virtual darts at the targets. After this is the final game called Woody’s Bonus Roundup where you must fire your cannon as fast as you possibly can at the last target to gain extra points. Your scores will then be added up and you will be given your skill level.
As you make your way around Andy’s bedroom you will be accompanied by the song “You’ve Got a Friend in Me”. However, in each of the games the same music is played but with a different musical variation. For instance, when you are in the Green Army Men Shoot Camp the music has a military brass band playing the music.
If you want to increase your score, look for the Easter Eggs in each of the different games. They trigger bonus points from high value targets.
I’m sure that guests will never tire of Toy Story Mania as it never seems the same ride each time you go round. And of course, you will be trying to beat your score and that of your opponents on every subsequent ride.
I would definitely recommend getting a FastPass for Toy Story Mania or you could be in for a long wait unless you are prepared to arrive at the park just as it opens. There is also the option of the single rider lane. Flash photography or video is not allowed on this ride.
